Renewal Theology deals with the full range of Christian truth from within the charismatic tradition. Previously published as three separate volumes, Renewal Theology represents the first exhaustive, balanced articulation of charismatic theology. Renewal Theology discusses: Book One--God, the World, and Redemption - Book Two--Salvation, the Holy Spirit, and Christian Living - Book Three--The Church, the Kingdom, and Last Things. As theology, this work is an intellectual achievement. But it is much more than that. The author urges the church to undertake its task of theology in the proper spirit: - an attitude of prayer - a deepening sense of reverence - an ever-increasing purity of heart - a spirit of growing love - a theological approach rooted in the glory of God. Done in such a spirit, theology becomes a faithful and powerful witness to the living God.

Greg Wolf5 Stars Out Of 5April 10, 2010Greg WolfA book on Renewal Theology finally written by a serious theologian for everyone. This is the one book I can recommend without hesitation to anybody, whether they are well read or not. Definitely not your everyday systematic theology book, even my wife reads it! I have read a fair bit of theology by lay person standards, (if there is such a thing as a layperson) and have found this book to be the perfect book for hungry people looking to make sense of their salvation, the person Jesus Christ, his humanity and glorification, and especially the work of the Holy Spirit. Topically the book is very comprehensive (1500 pages), the greek references are well explained and the footnotes are well done, he refers to most of the relevant major players and you don't need to have previously read everyone footnoted to know what's going on. Everyone I have recommended this to,or bought it for, Elders,Pastors and lay people has loved it. God has used it to create in them a deeper love for Jesus by giving them a deeper understanding of who he is. It is especially clear on the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church with much focus on his mission to manifest Christ through the church by empowering her to reach the world. All without any flakiness, something sorely needed.
Colton Clay5 Stars Out Of 5April 3, 2009Colton ClayGreat book very easy to read. Five stars for the writing style and content. Combination of three books without a one stop source for content was the only negative.
Robert W.4 Stars Out Of 5March 7, 2009Robert W.An excellent companion to various other systematic theology works, except that, written from a Reformed perspective, it is out-of-step with the vast predominance of Pentecostal thought and doctrine in that area.
Phil5 Stars Out Of 5September 24, 2008PhilI'm 1/4 the way through and am enjoying reading it, it's a companion to R.T. Kendall's, Wayne Grudem's & Kevin Conner's work as Pentecostal/Charismatic perspectives on theology.
