This is by far the best book ever. I finished it in 3 days and after reading it am buying a copy to lend out to all my christian teenage friends in church. Rivers is an inspiration to many and is the reason i want to write life changing books through the grace of God.

It took me a while to get into this book, but it was worth it in the end. I felt that the first 200 pages dragged a bit as they focused on Sarah and Michael and no other characters. But once I hit the 200-page mark and the Altman's appeared I enjoyed the book a lot more and wanted to finish it to find out what happened.
Overall, this was a lovely romance story even if it was a bit long for my liking. I've never tried reading Christian Romance before but this was totally different from what I expected. I've read that some people think this book is "graphic" and I want to assure potential readers that this is not the case. There are no sex scenes in this book, and the only things which are descriped "graphically" are the characters' emotions about sex - not the sex itself. And sure, lots of issues are discussed in this book which may make people feel uncomfortable - child molestation, rape, prostition, etc. But these things happened back then and they still happen today - we can't hide from the truths of life! What I thought was wonderful in this book was that Sarah had suffered terrible ordeals as a child but overcame this as an adult. This is not a depressing story about Bad Things as some reviews may suggest, but an inspiring story about living for the future and not the past, and overcoming hurt - and that God can help us do this!
I'm not sure how well this book would fare in the secular audience, but I think it is a great novel for Christians who want to read Real novels about Real people. After all, everything doesn't always work out perfectly in our lives, and Sarah and Michael illustrate this. It takes Sarah a long time to overcome her past hurts and Michael a long time to live "happily ever after" with his wife, but in the end they are happy!

This book was recommended to me from one of the young ladies from church. I enjoyed the book so much so that I bought 2 in English and 1 in Spanish and gave them away as gifts. Love like that is only God given. It's a must read book.

Extremely well written. The character of Michael Hosea is truly an example from the book of Hosea and shows how God is the one who cares for us, provides for us and loves us with a faithfulness we could never imagine. If you need assurance of God's redeeming love, read this book.

Redeeming Love is by far the best book I have ever read! It has a little bit of everything: laughter, tears of sadness, tears of joy, and most importantly redemption and love. I would highly recommend this book to any woman who wants to feel the depth of God's love by watching a man love his wife like Christ loves the church! Couldn't put it down!

In all the years that I have read books, mostly worldly ones I believe that This book is the one that has left a lasting impression. I felt that this book helped me in my understanding of Christ's forgiveness as I read it. It wasn't just another love story but her struggles in life and her walk as she finds and follows Christ. Best book yet! Rivers does an excellent job not just with the main character but also the husband Michael is a wonderful example of how we should live and forgive.
