In all the years that I have read books, mostly worldly ones I believe that This book is the one that has left a lasting impression. I felt that this book helped me in my understanding of Christ's forgiveness as I read it. It wasn't just another love story but her struggles in life and her walk as she finds and follows Christ. Best book yet! Rivers does an excellent job not just with the main character but also the husband Michael is a wonderful example of how we should live and forgive.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, so much so, that this is the 4th time that I have purchased it. I have loaned it out but never got it back. Even though this is a fictional depiction of Hosea and made in the old west, it still gives you the full knowledge of what God wanted to convey to us, that His love is never ending and unconditional, no matter how far we may have strayed from Him, He is always seeking us out and will never let us go. How awesome is that. This author is one of my favorites and she really conveys a deep understanding of her characters and really reaches to the very heart of emotions to bring out a response from the reader. That is hard to do sometimes but in her case, she manages it very well. Would highly recommend this book and others that she has written.

“Simply put, Redeeming Love is the most powerful work of fiction you will ever read” —Liz Curtis Higgs “Francine Rivers is one of the most riveting novelists I’ve ever read.” —Patsy Clairmont These comments by fellow authors state it best. There is no better description of Rivers or Redeeming Love. I don’t often agree so wholeheartedly with those who endorse a book, but Rivers is deserving of the accolades she receives for all her books. This novel tells the Biblical story of Hosea and Gomer in an 1800s setting. Although the book is fiction, Rivers infuses truths such as unconditional love, forgiveness and mercy. Michael Hosea, a farmer, seeks the heart of God. He obeys God’s will even when it means marrying a prostitute. Angel has never known love as God intended so she doesn’t know how to function in a healthy relationship. Running back to the familiar places and ways is all she knows. All the while Michael models Christ by forgiving, loving, providing and caring for her. After much prayer and by the grace of God, Angel begins to see a better way and chooses to embrace it rather than continuing to flee. Redeeming Love is more than a mere romance novel. Characters and readers, alike, are pushed to a deeper understanding of love, faith and mercy. The emotion and passion comes off the page and becomes part of the reader. From the heartache and physical pain to the joy and healing, the reader shares the character’s feelings. Rivers’ book is a good read for a broad audience. You don’t have to be a romance fanatic to be gripped by this tale. For those who desire to always follow God’s prompting, let Michael be your example. For those who have experienced abuse or addictive behaviors, let Angel show you how to overcome. For those who feel unworthy or unforgivable, let Redeeming Love lead you to the One who is waiting to redeem you. May every reader have a deeper commitment to his/her spouse and to the Lord upon concluding Redeeming Love.

I really liked how the author pulled it all together and balanced out the Biblical story with this one. and really showed the love that a husband or wife can have for the other but also the love that Christ has for us

I love reading good clean romance novels but have never taken the time to read a christian romance thinking it wouldn't be a good read. I was wrong a co-worker gave me this book to read and kept asking what I thought but I hadn't taken the time to read it and decided to just so i could let her know that I did read the book. Once i started I couldn't put it down this was truley the most romantic story I have ever read I cried thru the last 3 chapters and already have friends and my mom reading it.
