Publisher's Description

Making mistakes because you do not know any better is one thing, but to make them over and over is another. If this sounds familiar, you may require a needed course correction. If you are still wandering in the wilderness and cannot find your way out of the thick fog of Mistake City, maybe it is time to learn from the mistakes of others. It just may be time to take advantage of the wisdom from those who have been there and done that.

If I Knew Then What I Know NowIn this book, Ruby Hillsman offers life lessons to last more than a lifetime. She shares from experiences in her own life as well as encounters with others. Many times, life gives us a break, e.g. when hospitalized, and during these times we get a chance to think and reflect about our lives. Sometimes the turning points come during a particularly hurting time. Ruby has put together many lessons from a wide variety of people, lessons that come in handy in many of life's situations.

Below are some of the things she writes.

Take the time to get to know people before formulating opinions of them. That first impression is not always what a person is about.

Making assumptions or forming opinions of others without knowing the facts is easy to do, but it's not necessarily a good quality to have.

It is important for a person to feel as good on the inside as they do on the outside, and that make-up is not to be a mask to hide what is within or for unresolved feelings and issues. Make-up is the icing on the cake should a person desire it.booksneeze

Giving others a second chance is a good thing to do. After a bad second encounter, I am not so sure.

If we learn to get in touch with our guts early in life, we can always depend on them, even when things do not make sense at the time. I have found that many of us usually regret not listening to our guts.

It is a good read, even for reading in bits and pieces.
