The movie was helpful with not having a self righteous attitude to love the sinner while still holding on to God's truth of sin.

I have to say it was very good and touched on a subject most tend to stray from. I have to say I disagree with Barley as the movie does teach that being Gay is a sin and in the end has to be handled like any other sin. The Pastor in the Movie made that clear. Being Gay may be a sin but God love's all people and all people have one type of sin or another.

I purchased this DVD along with several others, so I read the synopsis of many and made my selections rather quickly. After starting to watch this movie, I realized what the subject of the movie was and I was dismayed. I checked the back of the DVD and saw that the word "gay" appears only once in the description buried in the middle of the paragraph. It seems to me that makers of movies and books on this subject hide what they are about, perhaps because they are worried their sales will suffer if they are up front with the subject. I know I would not have bought the DVD if I had known. While we are called to forgive, we are also called to have discernment. The Biblical definition of sin hasn't changed. Movies like this one seem to say that we should accept "politically correct" sins. This seems like a slippery slope to man saying that we do not accept God's definition of sin any longer. I am really disappointed that this was a Dove approved movie.
