The Revised English Bible updates the New English Bible, retaining the latter's elegant style, but removing its archaisms. The REB uses UK spelling and punctuation, employs a modest amount of inclusive language (e.g. "brothers and sisters" for "brothers"), and is good for public reading. The text edition comprises the Old and New Testaments only. It has gold page edges and is bound in gray imitation leather.
