Will strengthen your personal faith by demonstrating the reliability of both the Word of God and the person of Jesus Christ. Provides clear, concise, evangelistic tools to help you share that faith with others.
Nathan Busenitz serves as an associate pastor and assistant to John MacArthur at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. The author of numerous articles and books, Busenitz also teaches at The Masters Seminary, and is the managing editor of Pulpit magazine.
John MacArthur has served as the pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, since 1969. He is known for his verse-by-verse expository preaching, and his pulpit ministry has extended around the world via his daily radio program, Grace to You. He has also written or edited nearly four hundred books and study guides. MacArthur serves as the president of The Masters College and Seminary, a four-year liberal arts Christian college. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Southern California and have four grown children.
Reasons We Believe defends the veracity of the Christian faith and provides answers for believers and nonbelievers alike. Author Nathan Busenitz seeks to strengthen faith in his readers by demonstrating the reliability of the twofold authority on which Christianity rests: the Word of God and the person of Jesus Christ. His concise yet comprehensive survey presents biblically-founded reasons for embracing the existence of God, the reliability of the Bible, and the authenticity of Jesus Christ. Busenitz starts with the Bible as the foundation of all evidence, before he skillfully demonstrates how extra-biblical evidence corresponds with and thereby attests to what the Bible claims.
Reasons We Believe is designed to reinforce the faith of Christians while also providing them with a straightforward evangelistic tool for reaching unbelievers. The uniquely accessible format of Reasons We Believe, which is divided into fifty short and well-organized chapters, makes it a book youll turn to over and over again as you confront your own questions and those of others.
Eric Forman5 Stars Out Of 5November 18, 2008Eric FormanDr. Busenitz does a first rate job in presenting compelling reasons to believe. These come from the scientific, philosophical, archeological, and biblical arenas. I have used many of these reasons in teaching my students and really appreciate both his breadth and depth.
