Stressed to the max in her senior year, Olivia O'Donnell fills every spare moment of her week with frenetic activity. Aiming to be valedictorian, homework is top on her priority list, but she always manages to find time to watch Changing Faces with her best friend since kindergarten, Jane Broga--at least it used to be always. Lately Olivia is so consumed by her day planner checklists that the most important people in her life are somehow getting inched out of her harried schedule. To make matters worse, Jane strikes up a friendship with Olivia's longtime archenemy, Aubrey Ainsley. Will Olivia hit a breaking point when she unexpectedly starts volunteering at a homeless shelter in order to clinch the valedictorian spot? Can she learn to have compassion for others who don't seem to try as hard as she does? And when Changing Faces comes into her life, will it drive a wedge between Olivia and Jane or draw them closer again?

Christa5 Stars Out Of 5August 1, 2009ChristaI am 14 and I just finished reading this book. I really enjoyed it a lot. I liked how it ended up not having any dating in it. It had a good message to it and a lot of Bible verses were used in it. But yet it was fun and fashionable yet realistic and I felt like I could relate to Olivia.

Teresa Slack5 Stars Out Of 5August 10, 2004Teresa SlackFacing a three-way tie for Valedictorian, senior Olivia O'Donnell has to do something to stand out. Grades aren't enough so she volunteers at a homeless shelter, something she isn't exactly thrilled about. Isn't she already busy enough? Hasn't she worked all through school to maintain her grade point average? When will she find time to enjoy her much anticipated senior year? But it's all part of her big plan. Her already bulging day planner takes a beating as she tries to squeeze more time out of every 24-hour period. It isn't only her day planner that takes a beating. Old rivalries and the demands of high school take their toll on Olivia. Even when she is chosen for a makeover by her favorite reality show, she can't truly enjoy it without worrying about how it will affect her friendship with Jane.Changing Faces is well done and timely in this age of reality TV. Wendy Lawton has done it again with a book chock full of characters to whom readers can relate.
