Because of these wonderful readers, reading is my son's favorite subject in our homeschool. He gets to choose the order of his subjects, and reading is always first! We go at his pace, which is usually more than each day's lesson. The manual will say to do one chapter of each story per day, but my son refuses to stop reading the story until he gets to the end! Sometimes we'll do 3 days worth in one day! The stories are interesting and Christ-centered. Colorful pictures and great quality. Sometimes I wonder how necessary the teacher's book is. I suppose if cost were an issue, one could do without it. Just discuss the pictures and the text with your child and you've got it!

My son loves reading out of the very colorful readers. They are not flimsy books either. 6 total readers and they progressively get harder. Tearcher's manual comes with a cd to print off practice books as well. Step-by-step instructions for what to say and which response you should get. Reading comprehension is tied into each lesson.

I really like this curriculum. It is laid out and explained very well. I didn't buy the extra word service cards but made my own which was easy. The books are so colorful and eye catching. My son loves the workbook because he is actively involved...cutting, pasting, coloring. I asked what he DIDN'T like about it and he said "Nothing, I love it all!". If it gets my son's approval it gets mine!
