Read and Succeed: Comprehension Grade 3

This standards-based workbook follows a two-page structure with one page providing the reading and full-color photo or illustration, and the other page featuring workbook questions targeting specific reading comprehension skills. Topics such as prior knowledge, context clues, v isualization, story elements, plot, characters, titles and headings, typefacing and captions, graphics, cause/effect, and others are covered. Multiple lessons on the same topic provide opportunities for mastery through repetition. Worksheets can be used as a small group/class instruction exercise, as a center activity, or as independent work. The 65 lessons feature a fiction or non-fiction text, with a variety of topics covered.
