These books are perfect for young children, ages 2-5. The stories are presented in simple words, with memorable pictures at the perfect level for youngsters. I used these books over and over with my 4 children, and now 20 years later, I am using them to teach Sunday School classes of 2 year olds. They are all great!
I first saw this series used in Sunday school with my three year old and clearly saw how effective they were with this age group. The simple retelling of the Bible story along with the colorful illustrations hold the attention span of this age group. The simplicity of the text lends itself to dramatic reading and encourages the anticipation of what's next. (The story of The Man Who Helped in this volume is particularly effective for this kind of dramatic read.) I used this series with all my kids, and I'm now using them with my grandchildren. I've bought the four volume series several times and am anxiously waiting for the arrival of volume 5 in January. This is definitely a must-have for your biblical library for your little ones.
This series is the very best Christian literature I have ever seen for young children. I've used it with Sunday School classes and grandchildren. It's loved by all. The content is appropriate and keeps the child focused and involved.
Excellent books for sparking a spiritual interest!

We read these books to our 3 children when they were little and it sparked their interest to learn more about Jesus and the stories from the Bible. I really believe they played a hug part in our children coming to Christ at an early age. Now, I'm about to become a Grandmother for the first time and plan to order the set for my new grandchild.
We read these books to our grandchild, now we are reading them to our great grandchild. He is l year old and gets very quite while we read. It also is great to teach us lessons as we read. I was taken with the statement "God knew what Jonah needed". He knows what we need....
