Captain Dean Watters keeps his mission and his team in the forefront of his laser-like focus. So when Dean’s mission and team are threatened, his Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Failing to stop hackers from stealing national security secrets from the military’s secure computers and networks isn’t an option. Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif. And a target. When Zahrah is captured because of her expertise in quantum cryptology, compromising the US military, Dean is forced to crack the lockbox around his heart—a move that might come at the highest cost.
Ronie Kendig is an award-winning, bestselling author who grew up an Army brat. After twenty-plus years of marriage, she and her hunky hero husband have a full life with their four children, a Maltese Menace, and a retired military working dog in Northern Virginia. Author and speaker, Ronie loves engaging readers through her Rapid-Fire Fiction. Ronie can be found at www.roniekendig.com, on Facebook (www.facebook.com/rapidfirefiction), Twitter (@roniekendig), and Goodreads (www.goodreads.com/RonieK).
Fast paced, filled with action, romance, faith, secrets, hackers, a disappearance, danger, suspense, a bit of romance and lots of high-octane military-stye action.
Ms. Kendig, will grab you on the first page and not let you go, even on the very last page. She has done the Military proud with her true to life stories, and the way she honors their heroism, and their fight for freedom. I can't wait for the next installment. You know by the ending, this is NOT the ending, just, the beginning! A must-read Military Suspense! Well done, indeed!

Raptor 5, Hawk and Falcon are by Ronie Kendig. The books are about Special Forces members in Afghanistan doing routine missions until their communications system is compromised by the enemy. This is only brought to their attention after causalities from corrupted orders are received. On the whole, I really enjoyed the books and will probably purchase more from this author in the future.

What I liked: I liked the descriptions of Afghanistan and life there that made the story live for me. I enjoyed the beginning of the story that set up the entire novel with tight suspense. The story itself is believable since in that part of the world anything can happen. I also liked the connection to characters in her previous series.
What I did not like: I cannot remember anything I did not like.
The bottom line: Readers looking for Christian romantic suspense need to pick this one up today.

Even though it starts with an ending and kind of make you worry throut the book when they are going to get captured, I still enjoyed it emensly!! She is best at putting all things CIA and special forces and foreign cultures and.... spiritual depth and of course romance and tie it like no other author!!! I was very happy to be introduced to another member of green berets and to get a glimpse into the previous heroes. all that business with technology breach made me order the next book right away so i can figure out when the danger will pass. My favorite part of all Ronie's books is her deep research and in this one the detailed interview with an actual special forces soldier, it made her story, even though fictitious to appear very realistic.
I recommend this book to all military fans, and to guys especially ... you feel like your world is too hard to tackle try reading this book and learn what hard life really means.
Disclaimer: I have received a free copy of this book from the publisher, through netgalley, in exchange for my honest opinion.

The details of the torture are gruesome.
Then the use of so many acronyms is ridiculous. Some are explained but most aren't.
I found this extremely disconcerting.
