Captain Dean Watters keeps his mission and his team in the forefront of his laser-like focus. So when these two things are threatened by hackers, Dean’s Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Failing to stop the hackers from stealing national security secrets from the military’s secure computers and networks isn’t an option. Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif. And a target. When Zahrah is captured because of her expertise in quantum cryptology, endangering the US national security, Dean is forced to crack the lockbox around his heart—a move that might come at the highest cost.

gjo50TexasAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5All the best things......January 11, 2015gjo50TexasAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Quick Summary: A gritty romance set in Afghanistan where absolutely anything can happen.
What I liked: I liked the descriptions of Afghanistan and life there that made the story live for me. I enjoyed the beginning of the story that set up the entire novel with tight suspense. The story itself is believable since in that part of the world anything can happen. I also liked the connection to characters in her previous series.
What I did not like: I cannot remember anything I did not like.
The bottom line: Readers looking for Christian romantic suspense need to pick this one up today.

LarikSan Antonio, TXAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5awesome and intenseJanuary 2, 2015LarikSan Antonio, TXAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another favorite from Ronie Kendg!!! Even though it starts with an ending and kind of make you worry throut the book when they are going to get captured, I still enjoyed it emensly!! She is best at putting all things CIA and special forces and foreign cultures and.... spiritual depth and of course romance and tie it like no other author!!! I was very happy to be introduced to another member of green berets and to get a glimpse into the previous heroes. all that business with technology breach made me order the next book right away so i can figure out when the danger will pass. My favorite part of all Ronie's books is her deep research and in this one the detailed interview with an actual special forces soldier, it made her story, even though fictitious to appear very realistic.
I recommend this book to all military fans, and to guys especially ... you feel like your world is too hard to tackle try reading this book and learn what hard life really means.
Disclaimer: I have received a free copy of this book from the publisher, through netgalley, in exchange for my honest opinion.
JanieMichiganAge: Over 65Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5Fast moving & Gripping BUT!!October 27, 2014JanieMichiganAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2It is true this is a very hard story to put down but it is also hard to read.
The details of the torture are gruesome.
Then the use of so many acronyms is ridiculous. Some are explained but most aren't.
I found this extremely disconcerting.
jenilee220OhioAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5July 21, 2014jenilee220OhioAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another heart pounding summer read. Raptor 6 grips you at the start and doesn't let go until you are done.
A book that makes you question what you would do and forces you to look at our world, our military and the people who really exist in the midst of war.
The cost is very high and Ronie Kendig does a wonderful job of portraying war, life, death, politics, family, faith, strength and dignity in the presence of chaos.
This is a series to watch and an author to pay attention to as more books come out!
