Cynthia Heald, Author of "Becoming a Woman of God" series, wife of Jack for forty-six years, mother of four, grandmother of eight
"Raising a Trailblazer is filled with wisdom, creativity, humor, and spiritual substance. You will be inspired to help your teens become the people God created them to be. There is so much insight in how to be an effective parent that it should be required reading for all parents. It is a delightful book!"'
Rebecca Pippert Molenhouse, Mother of two, author, speaker, founder and director of Salt Shaker Ministries
"Virginia is herself a trailblazer: innovator, pioneer, originator, ground breaker, forerunner. A person who challenges status-quo and has always intentionally blazed a path for herself and her family in keeping with their faith and predetermined values. Through Home Improvement Ministries, she and Paul have helped countless families do the same. If you want to raise a set-apart teen, an independent thinker in the midst of a culture urging them to blend in so they fit in, you will find Virginias suggestions invaluable. Implementing these trail markers with your teens will leave them with a stronger sense of personal value and purpose as they navigate their unique path in life."
Deb McCormick, Mother of three boys, founder and director of TeamedUp

This book is AWESOME, a must read for anyone with children of any age! Virginias writing is clear, heart-felt and insightful. The excerpts from her daughters are equally helpful in viewing parenting through the eyes of teenage girls as they explain what was successful and why. Using Virginias model, encouraging words, and a lot of intentional parenting, our hope is to raise children whose faith is authentic and personal, not just something they did when they were young. This book is, and will continue to be an invaluable tool for us as we strive toward raising three young Trailblazers.

We loved this book. It helped us celebrate each of our teen's birthdays in a special way this year as they hit the milestones of 13, 16 and 18. They felt honored and loved, not only by us, but by God, too. When our oldest son turned 18 last month, we surprised him with a celebration to welcome him into adulthood. Several of our male family and friends wrote letters to encourage him in his faith and growth as a man of God which we read with him. We concluded by presenting him with an authentic star wars light saber (he is a star wars scholar) and gathered around to pray for him. God was clearly present!! Thank you Virginia!

This is an excellent book for raising your children. Wish it had come out when my son was little - but now we are using it for the grandchildren. It is easy to read, funny, and very sound advice with options for those of us less creative. This is an important book for today and future generations.
