In her conversational style, Susie shows how a mother can maximize her influence in her daughters spiritual growth through the lifelong nurturing and discipleship of her daughters heart. With practical solutions firmly grounded in the Bible, she offers answers to the many questions Christian moms have, including:
- How can I talk to my daughter in a way that will bring us closer together?
- What can I do to lead my daughter into an authentic relationship with Christ?
- How can I teach my daughter to pray?
- How can I help her live a pure life in God?
- How can I encourage her to have healthy relationships with boys?
- And much more.
Raising a Spiritually Strong Daughter also includes many helpful questions to help mothers build a solid lifelong parenting strategy. And to help mothers start this important journey, Susie includes a mother-daughter Bible study on the book of 1 John.
Relevant, insightful, and accessible, Raising a Spiritually Strong Daughter gives moms the tools they need to help deepen their daughters faith.
Erica5 Stars Out Of 5March 22, 2010EricaThis is wonderful book and I highly recommend it for all mothers who have a passion to raise daughters for Christ. This book really makes you view motherhood in a different light. Those precious eyes are watching us-what are they going to see? She challenges mothers to become Godly women that their girls will want to imitate.
abbie4 Stars Out Of 5February 23, 2010abbieAn encouragement to mothers and daughters alike. Not a typical "how to" book, but a self-evaluation. I enjoyed the easy to read and down to earth style of Susie Shellenberger as she draws on her experience with youth. I found the book to be extremely informative and at times a little challenging. I enjoyed the scriptural applications, and questions. The added study of 1 John is an excellent opportunity to sit down and really spend "connect" time with your daughter. I encourage readers to take advantage of this added resource.Thank you Baker Publishing for providing this review copy.
