I bought this book for my daughter who at first looked kind of nervous at the size of the book but once she started reading she was done the whole 4 books in under a week. She absolutely loved the book, in fact she raved about it so much that her older 11 & 12 year old brothers read it and they also said it was really good.
My daughter has asked me if there are any more books in the series or from that author but from what I can see on here those are the only children's books she has written. Hopefully she'll write more soon!
This collection is a captivating and excellent read for girls/boys, parent to child, or teacher to student. It's all about daily life mishaps, resolving, forgiving, loving, obeying, and consequences of actions. Fun filled humor much between brother and sister, as well as student vs. student. Sibling rivalry is much apparent, and true friendship throughout the series. Definitely loved this series!!! A student could read this likely from 3rd/4th grade on up. Adults could likely read to 1st/2nd graders on up with a majority of understanding or comprehension.
I am so excited to give this book to my 5-year old daughter for Christmas! She has loved the "Solomon" book with the short stories for little children and is ready for more "grown-up" stories...I think Rachel Yoder will fit the bill quite nicely! Thanks to Wanda Brunstetter for remembering the children when she writes!!
