Obadiah sees his friend get a shiny new coin when he is sent to a ship captain's house to tell his wife the ship has come in to the harbor. He decides that the next ship that comes in to Nantucket, he will be the one to bring the news. Rachel, Obadiah's little sister, wants to give the news too and it is decided that a race will decide who will do the running. Though Rachel is smaller, will she win the race?
