The Pursuit of God; The Human Thirst for the Divine by A.W. Tozer is the beloved, timeless, classic, work on man's desire to continually draw closer to God Whether you are thirsting for more of God or do not yet know of the "e;mighty longing after God"e; that so consumed A.W. Tozer's life and ministry, The Pursuit of God will draw you into a deep, abiding relationship with the One who nourishes the soul. This is the spiritual masterpiece that exposes the roadblocks that keep us from fully knowing God. It also reveals our responsibility of the pursuit and ultimately leads us into the very presence of God Himself. In the middle of day-to-day life, have you somehow forgotten that Christianity is a living, vibrant relationship with a personal God? Tozer reminds you, and challenges you to renew your relationship with the loving God. In each of 10 chapters, he explains one aspect of waiting on God, and ends with a prayer.
This book is clearly the number one best seller of all of A.W. Tozer books and is called "e;one of the all-time most inspirational books"e; by a panel of Christian magazine writers.
About the Author: A.W. Tozer (1897-1963) began his lifelong pursuit of God at the age of seventeen after hearing a street preacher in Akron, Ohio. A self-taught theologian, Tozer was a pastor, writer and editor whose powerful use of words continues to grip the intellect and stir the soul of today's reader.
Rob5 Stars Out Of 5Information for the soulMarch 23, 2015RobQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Tozer writes from the heart about things of the Spirit of God. There is too little on the subject. In some aspects, he misses the mark on how the Holy Spirit operates, being influenced by his theological training. Most of his book is well-based on sound observation from his life experience in an area that is most important for the disciple. This book is a crucial addition to the library of any serious student of God. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Kathy5 Stars Out Of 5MrsJanuary 19, 2015KathyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is an excellent book that I highly recommend. Somewhat like Andrew Murray's Humility, the language is a bit archaic, but once you become familiar with the different sound, and dig into the content, it is vital and relevant. Chapter 3 is a favorite!

It was recommended to me at a time when I was looking to deepen my relationship with the Lord, to walk with Him daily. This book was instrumental in beginning that walk. This is a must read for anyone who seeks to be more than a casual Christian.
