Author BioLorie Looney Keene is the associate director of Women’s Programs at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she received a master of divinity in education and women’s ministries. Currently pursuing her PhD in leadership, Lorie is a contributing writer for Journey magazine, Open Windows, and Focus on the Family’s Brio and Beyond. She has also served LifeWay Christian Resources in planning national women’s events. Previously a missionary to Czestochowa, Poland, Lorie is passionate about training other women in God’s Word. She has worked as a registered nurse for free health clinics and is currently leading a Bible study for high school girls. Recently married, Lorie and her husband, Stephen, call Kentucky home.
