According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12 is the strongest to occur in that region since 1770. The magnitude of the resulting humanitarian crisis has been staggering as well. What can we do to help provide relief to the suffering people of Haiti? On this broadcast, Focus on the Family President Jim Daly and psychologist Dr. Juli Slattery talk with World Vision President Rich Stearns and Compassion International President Wess Stafford, who offer an insider's perspective as they describe the devastation their people are witnessing, as well as the earthquake's impact on the staff members and their families. In addition, Dr. Slattery offers her insight on how parents can help their children understand and cope with tragedies like this. Please join us in praying that God would surround the Haitian people with His comfort, and that they would look to Him for hope in the midst of this terrible disaster.
