Even though this is a small book, it is packed with truth. It is loaded with grace, forgiveness and acceptance. After I read it, as a Pastor, I decided that more of our church people should also read it. We are planning on using it for our next small group study.
This books brings to light the elder brother in a way that is not often discussed. This seems to be especially relevant in those of us who have been in the church for some time. The realization that both sons are lost in relationship to their father is now fully appreciated. It should both humble and encourage us to know we are equally loved and the father wants both of us at the feast. This makes an appeal to the "sinner" and the "saint" that is in all of us.
