You'll Never Forgive Yourself if You Don't Read It
February 13, 2014
Multi-published author, Wendy Griffith, invites the reader to join her on a highly personal journey as she discovers the value of her own worth. Seen through her eyes, coupled with God's valuation of her life, one finds themselves stumbling along then righting themselves in concert with her numerous epiphanies. I found myself feeling her pain, hoping she'd reach for the right door, and stunned by the selfish indifference from the one entrusted with her heart.
Cover to cover the reader engages in varied levels of empathy; holding our breath until she is safely delivered by her Good Shepherd's capable arm. As the author musters the courage to enter the valley of decision, we cannot help but cheer, as she deeply draws a line in the sand and refuses further mistreatment. Her pain in leaving an immature suitor, becomes her bridge to unexpected opportunities and a solid platform for ministry.
For any woman questioning why they are drawn to emotionally unavailable and indecisive men, this book becomes the road map to new destinations and mindsets. I applaud Miss Griffith's determination to dust herself off, dry her tears, and sound the alarm for other women in similar predicaments. Her self-described "test" becomes literary medicine to those terminally love sick and points them in the direction of a gentle God waiting to comfort the brokenhearted. Griffith's discovery is the flashing yellow light that warns of unseen dangers--offering a practical yet heartfelt exit strategy for those seeking true contentment in their relationships. I highly endorse this labor of love and pivotal manuscript.
The author goes back in an emotional nightmare of spiritual disobedience and the consequences; she shares the torment of a broken spirit, and a shattered heart to remind us once again, through her experience and Scripture, that we are God's beloved children. We are a special creation. A treasure. Valuable beyond human comprehension to God, and we should never accept anything less in our relationships.
This book has chapters that will help pastors, youth leaders, and parents guide teens in Godly relationships when dating and marriage.
Thank you to Regal Books for a good read. Many Blessings, Judy.
