I really enjoyed this book. Bell continues to amaze me with his story-telling ability. In this book, he handles the very sensitive issues of pornography and adultery. These are very touchy subjects. But, he handles them tactfully and thoroughly, giving information without being graphic. Both are presented as sins: a nice refresher from most modern legal thrillers. I have given it 4 1/2 stars because it is sometimes a little graphic in its descriptions of sexual orientation. Most of all, I am so glad that he allows the husband to come to repentance, and he allows Dallas to forgive her husband. This is refreshing and good example of Christian love and forgiveness. Thank you, Mr. Bell, for another wonderful book.

Presumed Guilty is another low point in Bell's work. Perfectly predictable the doormat wife accepts her cheating husband back; under the disguise of "grace". I realize Christian marriages are falling by the adultery wayside equal to their sexual counterparts. Perhaps because pastors, like the one in Presumed Guilty, are getting away with their sexual sins! Why is this dribble marketed as Christian writing?

I've just discovered James Scott Bell and I am fascinated by his writing. PRESUMED GUILTY kept me engaged and trying to guess the next twist and turn. In the story, he interjects truths about which we all need to think.

Bell has crafted yet another relevant page-turner in Presumed Guilty. Pornography is a sensitive subject for many, but Jim tackles the issue with grace. He's not afraid to touch on the porn industry's underbelly, but he never stoops into gratuitous territory.A bold blend of legal thriller and socially pertinent fiction, Presumed Guilty will keep you flipping leaves well past your bedtime.
