The 'mark of the Beast' is a part of Revelation many assume to still be mysterious to modern readers, but a literal reading can reveal insight into the prophecy. While couched in prophetic language, and written about an age that the writer was not familiar with, Revelation still has straight-forward teaching that modern readers can understand exegetically.
