I excited to see a 2001 publication date; upon opening it I found that the cover was updated, but not the material inside; the 1986 publication date is on the title page.

As a pastor who has done his share of pre-marital and marital counseling, I have always found Wayne Mack's books to be an invaluable help. Once again, in this book his solid biblical orientation and practical application to real life needs and situations expose the problems and point to God's solutions. I highly recommend this book to both pastors (and other biblical counselors) and couples preparing for marriage.

We are using this book for the first time for an pre-marriage class for those in the community. It covers many good areas yet not all areas that we felt are important for pre-marriage class. We do recommend this book still.

This book was requested to us by our pastor and has been proven to be very beneficial to us in many ways. it has allowed us to answer quaetions that we normally would not think to ask eachother, learn what the other truly feels and has guided us in preparing a marriage built on Christ. We ordered 2 books so that we could work on them seperately, then trade them to see how the other has answered. Then, we would talk about what we each wrote. It has really brought us even closer in Christ & to eachother.
