Author BioDr. Nan Duerling holds a Bachelor's degree in English and secondary education from Towson State University, a Masters in education and curriculum development from John Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. in literature from American University. Nan is formerly an adjunct faculty member of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. For more than 20 years, she has written youth and adult curriculum for several denominations. She has been general editor of the New International Lesson Annual since 1995.
Sue Mink creates artwork that explores the intersection between art and theology. She is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary where she held an artist-in-residency in 2004. Sue also holds a design degree from Carnegie-Mellon University. She has created several murals for local churches and conducted seminars on her concept of "Visual Choirs", a group exercise for creating artwork for use in worship. Sue loves to teach both adult and youth studies. She's traveled the world with her husband, Allan, a retired Air Force pilot, and now lives in Leesburg, Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys art, rock concerts, knitting, scuba diving, and cooking. Sue and her husband have two adult children, Jessica and Rob.
