I love just about every book from Dopson, but this not one of them. I thought it would be written to the parent about raising adolescents not written to the teen, with or without reading it with the parent. I must have misunderstood the description.

Just started the book, but love it so far. It covers many topics that kids need to be made more aware of from their parents.

Years ago, when our children were entering adolescence we used the book to open discussions about various topics and events that they may be facing. This book was tremendously helpful for both of them and us. We now have grandchildren who are becoming of age, so we sent the book to our son so that he may lead his son into discussions as we did him. It was a wonderful guide for us!

The book is great and covers a lot of topics that your teen will face. The only one not really covered is homosexuality and bisexuality. Where I live this is a major issue, many kids are becoming bisexual, especially girls, because it is popular. Other than this, the book is extremely helpful. I would recommend it highly.
