Years ago, when our children were entering adolescence we used the book to open discussions about various topics and events that they may be facing. This book was tremendously helpful for both of them and us. We now have grandchildren who are becoming of age, so we sent the book to our son so that he may lead his son into discussions as we did him. It was a wonderful guide for us!

The book is great and covers a lot of topics that your teen will face. The only one not really covered is homosexuality and bisexuality. Where I live this is a major issue, many kids are becoming bisexual, especially girls, because it is popular. Other than this, the book is extremely helpful. I would recommend it highly.

We aren't finished reading it yet, but so far the book is great at dealing with issues that confront preteens and teens.

This book is written to the adolescent. It is easily understood by tweeners and good for parents and their kids to read together. It's great to get communication opened up about sensitive issues. Straight talk about growing up.
