She was a poor, simple, ordinary teenager who found herself in the amazing position of being chosen by God for His eternal purpose. Like Mary, you have been put on Earth for a divine purpose. Regardless of your age, education, status, heritage, job (or lack thereof), God wants to use you. In Preparing to be God's Vessel
, Henry Blackaby and his daughter Carrie Blackaby Webb show how you can fully commit yourself to His purposes.
While using the story of Mary, mother of Jesus, as a foundation, Blackaby and Webb offer numerous examples related by everyday modern women. These women tell how their own lives have been touched by God; how His continual loving presence has guided them through confusion, challenges, difficult choices, sorrows, and disappointments; and how they are using the blessings He has given them to bless others. The result is an inspiring yet practical call to action that's powerfully relevant to today's Christian women seeking a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
Henry Blackaby and his daughter Carrie Blackaby Webb show through the life of Mary how God can use any woman-regardless of stature or abilities-if her heart is fully committed to Him. Mary's example of faithfulness and commitment will encourage and strengthen Christian women, knowing that God is continuing to look for a pure heart that He can use today.
