Premium Roast with Ruth is part of the Coffee Cup Bible Studies, a series of Bible studies for women in compact, workbook format that examine the "life and times" of certain Bible characters and the books of the Bible that pertain to them. Each study is to be read over a four-to-six week period, and study sections are broken down into short, daily segments designed to fir reader's busy lifestyles.
Understanding that time is precious, the Coffee Cup Bible Studies are patterned in such a convenient way that they can be read during brief fulls in a woman's daily schedule-short windows of opportunity that allow for meditation and study (breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, etc.) Scripture is provided from the NET Bible (New English Translation). making Bible study convenient for occasions when you can't carry a Bible.
Ruth is born in the wrong place- Moab. She marries an Israelite at the wrong time-when his nation is experiencing a famine. And she ends up in the wrong circumstances-her husband dies leaving her childless and penniless. Yet miraculously, this widow ends up as the right person in the right place at the right time, and fortunes changes for the better.
Premium Roast with Ruth considers one of the two great women for whom a book of the Bible is named. designed for group or individual study, this Bible study demonstrates how God is in control; how He always keeps His promises; how He can reverse impossible circumstances; and ho He blesses the faithful more richly and for longer than they could ever imagine.

It also keeps repeating the same things in the beginning. I had a very hard time trying to sort out how to lead the class. I know that it is a short book but I didn't feel like it flowed like it should.
Erica Rhoads4 Stars Out Of 5July 20, 2009Erica RhoadsI bought this book for our MOPS summer Bible study. So far we are enjoying the study. I like the fact that it is easy to read and has all the extras included. It is just perfect for a light summer study.
Karman Keith5 Stars Out Of 5July 2, 2009Karman KeithThis is a wonderful study. It does not just ask the expected questions, but challenges you to apply what is being studied to your life. The daily study is something a person can complete without too much effort or scheduled time. Great for individual or group study. A leaders manual would be helpful however.
Ginny S.5 Stars Out Of 5July 31, 2007Ginny S.I often find myself wondering how the lives of women in the Bible can relate to mine. In Glahn's newest addition to the Coffee Cup Bible Series, the life of Ruth is explored. Through the writer's in-depth research, I was able to see what things are culture related, and what truths are timeless and applicable in my life today. Premium Roast with Ruth brings to life God's goodness and provision in the life of a woman who was faithful in her willingness to put others' needs before her own comfort and security. This study, as with the others in the Coffee Cup Bible Series, is conveniently formatted for use in any place, at any time. Glahn alternates between passages taken directly from Scripture, insightful commentary and anecdotes from her own experiences, and personal reflection opportunities for the reader, making this a perfect Bible Study choice for groups and individuals alike.
