Jimmy Peña, MS, received his Masters Degree in clinical exercise physiology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1998. He then published his thesis summary on the effects of endurance training on muscle size and strength in competitive athletes in the renowned journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. Peña served as the fitness director for Muscle & Fitness and Muscle & Fitness Hers magazines, and for more than a decade, wrote and edited thousands of articles on training and fitness, making him one of the nations most published fitness experts.
In 2006, Peña designed the womens training programs for LL Cool Js New York Times best seller Platinum Workout (Rodale Books 2006), and later that year served as creator and host of the Muscle & Fitness DVD series, The Rock-Hard Challenge. In early 2007, Peña began working with Mario Lopez, contributing to his book Knockout Fitness (Rodale Books 2008), while also helping prepare his physique for appearances in People, TV Guide and on FXs acclaimed primetime show Nip/Tuck. Peña is an ongoing resource for NBCs Extra and in 2010 was the co-author of the New York Times best seller, Extra Lean.
Jimmy Page, MS, serves as the vice president of field ministry and national director of wellness for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. For nearly 20 years, he has been a leader in the medical fitness industry, operating wellness facilities affiliated with Sinai Hospital and Johns Hopkins. He currently hosts a daily radio segment and podcast called Fit Life Today, offering a blend of spiritual and physical health principles that promote abundant life. Hes the co-author of WisdomWalks: 40 Life-Changing Principles to Live and Give.
Jim Stoppani, PhD, serves as senior science editor for Muscle & Fitness, Muscle & Fitness Hers and Flex magazines and is a science consultant for numerous companies. He has written thousands of articles on exercise, nutrition and health and is author of the Encyclopedia of Muscle & Strength, co-author (with LL Cool J) of Platinum 360 Diet and Lifestyle, and co-author of the book Stronger Arms & Upper Body. Dr. Stoppani is the creator of the Platinum 360 Diet and the diet program found in Mario Lopezs Knockout Fitness.
