"Let's put aside any false humility or pride," author John Snyder says, "and come before God with boldness, asking for the moon." He reminds us that the Bible says we are to ask and then ask again. Over and over. Day in. Day out.
When the need is so great, so seemingly impossible that only God's direct intervention will ever bring it about, it takes a different kind of prayer. Your 100 Day Prayer is designed to take you straight to the heart and will of God by seeking him for a specific need. This book includes:
- A dedicated page to express your need before God on the day you start your 100 day of prayer,
- 100 entries to help you focus your prayer through the truth of God's Word and character,
- Leading prayers to give you a jump start,
- Writing space to capture your conversations with the Father and the spiritual transformation you experience day by day, and
- A concluding page to memorialize how God answered your prayer and transformed you through the process.
A powerful witness to the place of prayer in the Christian life with a user friendly daily discipline to introduce you to it. Highly recommended.
Thomas W. Gillespie, President Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey
The concept of Your 100 Days of Prayer is inspired, and can only accomplish great things for our nation and the Kingdom of God if we'll all cooperate and implement it. The Lord is waiting to see if we have the courage and the desire. He is able.
Pat Boone, singer, actor, producer, author, and motivational speaker
Conversing with our Father in prayer is critical to spiritual growth. In Your 100 Day Prayer, John Snyder provides very practical and diverse meditations that will most certainly enhance the readers prayer life and set the tone for daily living that is focused on God.
Rick Dempsey, Sr. Vice President, The Walt Disney Studios
In today's Internet age of instant gratification, it's all too easy for Christians to "want it now" and expect the Lord to instantly honor Matthew 7:7: "Ask and it will be given to you . . ." John Snyder's excellent book provides a beautiful pathway to journal our 100 days of focused prayer as we are transformed in the process.
David Pack, Saddleback Church/ Orange County, Calif. Grammy winning Recording Artist & Music ProducerIn this 100 day pilgrimage, Dr. Snyder has woven four great Christian traditions togetherdaily scripture reading, devotional insight, prayer, and journaling. You cannot practice these disciplines faithfully and emerge unchanged. I think that you will find when the journey has ended, that God has been your guide and your destination.
Dr. Ed Ewart, MOO Church, Mission Viejo, CA
If you already enjoy a daily, satisfying prayer life, don't read this book. But if you're looking for something to stimulate you to become more faithful and systematic, John Snyder's Your 100 Day Prayer offers you an opportunity to focus on talking to God daily and making it an ongoing habit.

John Snyder has taken a chapter out of his own life and made it available to all of us...Your 100 Day Prayer is an incredibly practical and powerful tool for any individual or family who desires to develop and strengthen their prayer life.

Clare5 Stars Out Of 5100 Day PrayerJune 12, 2015ClareQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is GREAT! Such a help when praying long term for something. This is truly something that helps you hold on in the waiting!
I am not using the bottom portion of the book to write in it my own thoughts and reactions because I may need to use this book again for something else sometime. I am writing my thoughts on post-it notes and sticking them to the pages to leave the actual book pages clean.

Each devotional is followed by a short prayer that compounds on the message of the devotional. I also made as my journal... The daily devotionals are short and easy to fit into the day. The prayers are meaningful and concise. And the space to journal is a great idea. I think it is well crafted and may be a very useful tool for many Christians who want to focus their prayer life, 100 Day Prayer offers even more with the ability to discover daily that God does listen and does respond is the catalyst to continue forth on your transforming journey. I am looking forward to continuing the journey of self discovery and watching God works is ways I have never seen before.
junnelaranasAge: 18-24Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5I love this piece!May 21, 2012junnelaranasAge: 18-24Gender: maleValue: 5Meets Expectations: 4I found this book to be simultaneously very easy to read, and very hard to read. It was inspiring, but at times discouraging. It was easy to read because the writer writes heart-to-heart, in plain terms. It was hard because it's so darn challenging.
Sun Stand Still is an important and powerful call to trust God to do things completely beyond our own ability, while also giving it absolutely all we've got. If you've got a dream but are lacking the faith to see it come to pass, or if you just find yourself too stuck in comfort and safe prayers, this is definitely a book worth checking out.
If your use of time and money has become a problem or you struggle in your relationships or with sexual sin, this book may be a good place for you to start. This book is to convince you that by surrendering yourself totally to God's purposes, He will bring you the most pleasure in this life and the next.As I see it, a lukewarm Christian is an oxymoron; there is no such thing. To put it plainly, church goers who are "lukewarm" are not christians. We will not see them in Heaven.
gadfly1974Rochester, NYAge: 35-44Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Valuable tool for learning about prayerJanuary 3, 2012gadfly1974Rochester, NYAge: 35-44Gender: maleSometimes a book speaks universally, to all people in all situations.
This book is different.
It gives you the opportunity to take a 3-month journey in prayer, focused on a single point of interest.
There is great wisdom in praying about the same issue repeatedly, and Mr. Snyder makes a compelling case to support this perspective.
When Jesus tells the story of a desperate but persistent widow who keeps asking the same judge for help, he is teaching us to bring our prayers to God repeatedly, like a child who asks for the same thing over and over again.
This isn't to teach us to be whiny, but to develop a healthy spiritual dependence upon God. If you don't share a belief in the God described in the Bible, then this book will just exasperate you.
One area in which I did not find the author's perspective compelling was when he wrote, "We can ask for health, healing, rescue, a mate, a career, or even a new Lamborghini! The worst that can happen is God can say no."
In a strictly logical sense, I agree.
If a person follows the 100-day plan outlined in this book, it will become clear while going through the daily reflections that asking for a sports car is a selfish and lame request, kind of like asking for your favorite team to win a playoff game.
But the value of learning persistence in prayer, focused on a single point of significant interest, allows me to forgive Mr. Snyder's command that we give up our "false humility" and just ask God for whatever we really want.
I suggest that you purchase this book in hard copy if you're interested. In addition to a daily scripture reading, devotional, and brief guided prayer, there's space each day for recording "Today's Progress," but this feature is not accessible in eBook format.

This book is called Your 100 Day Prayer and it's by John I. Snyder. I'm going to be honest and say that after about three days, I haven't used this book. I honestly don't know why. It does give you a chance to write what you're going to pray about after reading a little passage, following by a lesson learn from that passage. I couldn't really connect to it. The only part I really liked is having the chance to write your topic of prayer down. Other than that, I wouldn't really recommend this book.
