Through studying the lives of Elijah and Elisha (1 Kings 17-19 and parts of 2 Kings), readers will be challenged to pray bold prayers rather than settle for meek prayers not offered in deep faith. Readers will learn to repair their own altars, surrender to God's timing and plan and persist when prayers seem to go unanswered.

The book is really well written. Jill uses examples and illustrations to drive the point home and makes the teaching very lively and practical. It has helped me to reflect on my prayer life and develop an interest in studying the O.T.
