This book offers some good information. It was a little confusion using catholic terminology/history because I'm unfamiliar with that denomination. One of the books you want to keep reading despite confusion because you are certain it will offer more/some beneficial information at end, or leading up to it. Probably will use it as a reference book if needed.
This is an excellent review on the various types of prayer and their applications in our life. Prayer is such a powerful force in our spiritual lives as we seek to enhance our relationships with the triune God, family, friends and worldly neighbors. Describing prayers that lead us inward, upward and outward, the author has done an courageous job of warming our hearts through our search for peace.
I haven't finished the book but so far - awesome! This is one of those books to keep in your library for future reference. I had originally borrowed it from a friend but I kept wanting to write little notes in the margins so I had to get it for myself. It is loaded with thought provoking truths and is easy to read and understand. I hightly recommend this book to anyone searching for a good book on prayer. It will not disappoint.
This is my second time purchasing a copy of this book. I often thought that there were many ways and many reasons to pray and this author confirmed it. The book was beautifully written and I did find myself moving toward greater intimacy with God as I read through the chapters. I have recommended this book to many others. Thank you.
