This is a pretty good story, and one that I am sure many churches still need to hear! The production quality is nowhere near what many newer Christian films have begun to achieve, but if you can endure that for the story, there is a great message to be received. The music itself is quite good although it is obvious that this movie was made in the 90s.
I really liked this movie because it reaches out to the younger generation. I am 55 and I know that the young people are our future. I listen to more up beat music than this movie showed. The young people needs to know God loves them through his word and music and there is hope for tomorrow.
I was very surprised that I enjoyed this movie as much as I did. Some of these type films has subpar acting and the quality of the films can be somewhat disappointing. However, this was neither of the two. The movie had a very good storyline, as I know Christian rock music can be viewed upon as somewhat demonic, especially among the older members. The subject matter was handled delicately and the Praise Music offered in the movie was not over the top rock and roll. And as always in Hollywood, the biggest obstacle to this new type of worship was converted in the end. All in all, a movie worth watching!
Being a worship leader I enjoyed this but not everyone may. It shows the good, the bad and the ugly of church life. It also shows how we, when following the leading of the Spirit, can impact the world around us and help change people's lives. It starts with one.
