Burning Bush & Other Images of God contains 8 weeks of lessons all of which build upon the main idea:
As finite beings, it can be difficult to understand God who is infinite. Throughout history people have expressed the reality of God through images and metaphor. Children will explore some of the many images of God the Creator / God the Father in the Bible and discover how these images help us know God.

Unit Description: God created humankind in his image...God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. (Genesis 1:27, 31a CEV)

Objectives - Children will have opportunities to:

• enlarge their understanding of God through exposure to new images of God;
• explore a variety of images of God in the Bible -- fire, rock, eagle, and light;
• explore the idea that the image of God can be revealed through them and their actions.
