This book was given to me by my pastor. In my eyes my marriage seems hopless, but in my heart i stiff have hope that it is the will of God that my husband and i can be what He has called us to be in this marriage. I did not want to pray for my husband, I did not feel like praying for my husband, but i had to be obedient to the will of God and read this book that was purposed to read for my life "The Power of a Praying Wife". As i began to read this book, i have come to find out that we are not alone. Although our lives with our husbands may be of a different nature, but what Stormie has gone through in her life with her husband, was not in vain. I sincerely thank God for this gift unto us as wives to help us, inspire us, enlighten us and change us for God's glory. Thank you Stormie for obeying the voice of God and being led by the Holy Spirit of God to help us wives become that "virtueous woman" and see the work of the Lord in our marriages, if "we" obey. this is an excellent book with real insight into the power of prayer. I would recommend it to any woman whether married or not as many of the principles mentioned in this book could be used by parents,grandparents,sibling etc

This book kept me focused on what GOD wanted me to do to help save my marriage when it was in trouble a number of years ago. I wish I'd started reading it the day I got married! Now I buy multiple copies at a time (from CBD.com at a discount) and give it to every bride I know! And, in some cases, I give the companion "Power of a Praying Husband" too. They both should be required reading before saying "I Do" in my opinion! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I really like the hardback version better, as it has a ribbon bookmark and pages to jot thoughts on. I still look at my notes written when the book first inspired me to pray for specific needs in my husband's life. Re-reading a particularly meaningful chapter can instantly refresh my memory in just how powerful praying for him can be. This book makes the phrase "Prayer Changes Things" an understatement.

I totally recommend this book to any christian wife that prays regularly for her husband. Being a new christian, I needed all the help and "structure" on praying for my husband I could get. This works for me....very well.

This book has taught me to "Let go and let God" I was always trying to change my husband through nagging, but now I turn to this book and pray for him whenever I feel the urge to point out any shortcomings. It is amazing dealing with life issues and gives you the exact words to pray when you are lost. Praying for your spouse is a true language of love!!!

I had re-ordered this book, because I had purchased it many years ago at a women's conference, I read it through twice completely and then used it from time to time, depending on what was happening in his life that I could pray secifically for. His life situations and out looked got turned around, and made such a difference, all when he didn't know the specific prayers and scriptures at end of each chapter, because I was a praying wife. With all the termoil in this life and all the temptation that gets us all daily to pull us down, we need the Lord in our daily lives and marriage if we want it to last a life time. I highly recommend this book to every women with bad, good, or great marriages. Buy it for a Blessing!
