I really enjoyed this book.It reminds me a lot of how when we were young how we younster had to work and be a part of the working family. I love the way the author presents each topic. Thanks again Odette

If you loved Little House on the Prairie books, you will love this. At the end of each chapter there are several pages of factual information relating to something in the previous chapter. There are instructions for many easy pioneer projects and crafts. Both my children and I have learned so much about life in the olden days. This is a great home schooling resource that could be used as a family read aloud or unit study.
