Army MomAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Good bookFebruary 23, 2015Army MomAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Night with a Perfect Stranger picks up six years after Dinner with a perfect stranger in which Nick meets Jesus Christ for dinner in a posh Chicago restraunt. After a couple of years of having a joyous relationship with Jesus, Nick finds that he has hit a brick wall in his spiritual life. He feels restless and disconnected. Then one night while driving back from his parents house, Nick has car trouble on a particular deserted stretch of road. When he exists the vechile he is suprised to find Jesus waiting for him wanting to know if Nick needs help.
Thus begins Nick's second conversation with Jesus.
This book explores the event that all walking christians go through at one time or another in their spritual walk. Complacency and busyness. It is then that Jesus pulls us back into a loving intimate relationship with Him.
I know that not all people will like the way Jesus is portrayed, but for me I really like it. I laughed at some things in the conversation and other times, I would think, yeah, from what I know about Jesus, that could be how he would respond.
If you are looking for a deep theology book, this isn't it. Its a book that fills an idea of what every Christian longs for, to talk to Jesus face to face. This is another wonderful book that brings back into focus where a believer joy lay, in a intimate relationship with God.
The book itself is small, it only took me a couple of hours to read. It has lots of conversation which makes it go by fast. But it's worth reading, and then reading again.
KwwestBakersfield caAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Third book in the seriesDecember 31, 2014KwwestBakersfield caAge: 55-65Gender: femaleI read the first two books first, dinner with a perfect stranger and day with a perfect stranger. i would recommend reading these first. This book goes right along with the first two. I enjoyed the follow up with Jesus that this story gave me. Good inspirational story. I recommend all three of the books.
ZiggySomers, NYAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5I loved it!June 12, 2014ZiggySomers, NYAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I found this to be a very soothing book. There were times I laughed out loud, Jesus has a sense of humor! I don't think this book "lacks depth", I think it gives us a very simple message about Jesus and his purpose that we tend to over complicate. It's a book I will probably read again and I would like to read the others in the series. It is a quick read, probably took me an hour. Good for a seeker or a new Christian.
xxxxHuntsville, OntarioAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5interesting concept - but not enough depthNovember 23, 2012xxxxHuntsville, OntarioAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This book covers many topics in a superficial manner - raises questions without answers too. Interesting read for someone with faith and understanding; not perhaps the best to use as an approach to a seeker though. Quick read.

I couldn't put it down. I have to be honest, I love reading David Gregory's books. His books are fun, not preachy and loaded with theological truth.
I had this book sitting on a shelf for awhile and was prompted to read it this weekend. I understand why now. "Night With A Perfect Stranger" addressed a lot of my questions and concerns.
"Night With A Perfect Stranger" was a healing balm for my anxious heart and questioning soul.
I can't recommend this book enough.
In conclusion, I want to thank Worthy Publishers for sending me a complimentary copy to review.
