Phrases can be separated I thought it was one large sticker. I also thought the white sections were clear (showing white background sheet). Actually, the phrases are each separate strips. That is actually nice so you can design your own layout. If you really want to keep the green border, you could stick it on the wall/locker first and then place the words back in their spots. I really wish the backround around the words/letters was clear so it looked more like lettering on the wall instead of a sticker. I put mine on the wall in the kids' "time out" spot (and told them not to peel it). Because of the white background, it isn't very pretty, but I'm still glad I got it because of the message. The font/design makes it more fun for the kids to read. May 31, 2012
