Does Not Do Service to God's Word

This review was written for The People's New Testament Commentary.
This commentary does not do service to the Word of God but is instead a dissappointing collection of liberal-critical ramblings. The authors critique doctrine, authorship, and fundamental tenants of the orthodox Christian faith, even to the point of entertaining universalism (if not embracing it). The authors go through leaps and bounds to interpret the New Testament as a fallable document of ancient history/myth and make all efforts to be inclusive to the point of denying the basic moral and social teachings of the New Testament.

The People's New Testament Commentary is just that, for the people. No lofty theological terms and easy to read.
