Publisher's Description

The Gift for All People is a celebration of God's gift of salvation wrapped in a collection of inspirational stories. These stories will help Christians comprehend and treasure the assurance of their salvation and will help non-Christians realize and embrace the gift of abundant, eternal life in Jesus Christ. The concluding story, written especially for this book, urges readers to give their lives to Jesus Christ and shows them how to do so. This book will provide Christians with a unique, warm, and attractive presentation of the gospel to give to non-Christian family or friends.

More than anything, God wants you to be with Him. The God who designed your world, the God who placed you on the planet, simply wants you home with Him. And to bring you home, He offers you a gift...the gift of eternal salvation.

My prayer is that through the pages of this book you'll see his gift like you've never seen it.

If you've already accepted it, you'll thank Him again. And if you've never accepted it, I pray that you will. For it's the gift of a lifetime. A gift for all people.

The Gift For All People: Thoughts On God's Great Grace, written by Max Lucado, published by Multnomah Books, is a beautifully written, thoughtful and inspirational book concentrating on the most important topic in existence, Jesus Christ.

The Gift For All People is a collection of thought provoking, heart stirring, insights brought forth through the masterful writing of Max Lucado, designed to give insights into God's role as grace-giver.

Each chapter is brief in presentation, thus allowing anyone to find the time needed to read, in the least, one chapter at a time. At the close, Max brings forth a call for salvation. In doing so, he doesn't reach around the topic, but instead is very open and forward about the necessity for salvation through the shed blood of Jesus.

This book provides its readers with wonderful material that can be utilized in their study of God's Word, thus it is a recommended purchase for personal use or as a gift.

This book is a series of short devotionals (2 or 3 pages) which are easy to read. Lucado certainly has the gift of language artistry. Each reading begins with scripture and then explanation. Sections in the book include The Gift of a Savior, Ransom for Sinners, Bounteous Grace and the Choice. Throughout the book Lucado reminds us that God's gift of grace is extended to each of us. Nice for on the go reading. I can see this as a gift book but in my opinion it might be a little overpriced.

My disclaimer is: I am a huge Max Lucado fan. I have all of his books and when a new one comes along I jump at the chance to add it to my library. Originally this was printed in 1999 but has been updated with a new title and I actually did not have this. It had different chapters highlighted from different books he has written. The thoughts on God's great grace fill this book of 127 pages.

Max tells us that God's gift of grace is limitless and we are so unworthy but he still offers grace. We must never forget that God's endless grace is a free gift that cannot be earned. Hard to imagine a God that has such limitless love when we see ourselves as so unworthy with sins piled high and mistakes made over and over again. We take detours and God puts us back on the path and extends strength through faith. Do we take this gift for granted? Yes, we do and what a high price that gift cost for God to give us. His very son paid for it with his body, breath, and blood.. As you ponder the truths in this book you will see new insights and reflect on the gift of grace that God shares with us daily. One of Max's best lines come in the chapter titled He Saw You. He recounts how alone Jesus was in the Garden and how Jesus can empathize with how we feel when we have be confused, plotted against, torn between two desires and how we beg God to change his mind and God says no. On the eve of the cross, Jesus made his decision. He would rather go to hell for you than go to heaven without you. What a Savior we serve!.

This is easy reading and could be used for a daily devotional but one book that you would pick up over and over to reread the messages of God's love and grace to his people. I am sure that the gift for all people, will speak to you personally through these pages.

Thanks to Blogging for Books for this free copy just for my honest opinion.

I did not read the "Spring '05" version, I read the one that was copyrighted in 1999 and I do not know the differences but I absolutely loved this book! It was a very quick read, it was easy to understand, and I just couldn't put it down! I want to read it over and over but at the same time I want to pass it on so everyone gets a chance to read it. I will definitely be ordering some extra copies to pass along to people. This book is a must read!

I absolutely loved this book! My mom's friend sent it to me, and I am now ordering a copy to send to a friend of mine as the one I have is going to my daughter. How anyone can not be impacted by the words of Max Lucado is a mystery to me!
