I would definitely recommend anyone who is dealing with a loved one to read this book. It is so difficult to understand what a person with dimentia is going through especially when physically they are so strong. This book has helped me to have more patience and be more understanding.

Over twenty years ago, I first encountered this book when someone recommended it to me when dealing with my husband's grandmother who was failing in her memory. Now, I have purchased a new copy for myself as my 83-yr. old mother struggles with memory loss. This resource is the one book that gives me confidence to love her and care for her in the days ahead. Knowing she would not wish to go to a nursing home, we choose to be prepared for the home care that may lie ahead. This is the book to help guide through this season of life.

This book was recommended to a family member by the Alzheimer specialist she consulted about her mother. After reading it, she said it was extremely helpful. I have since given it to two friends who were or are dealing with a similar situation. Both have also said it was very beneficial in knowing what to expect and how to cope with specific situations.
