What an incredible book! Schutz had a brilliant analytical mind. He does not "wrestle" with the texts - he explicates the meaning effortlessly and with clarity. The subject is by definition a controversial and diverse one, but Schutz has a grasp on the Greek, eschatology , theology - you name it, he shows a complete all-round ability to present his case, and by refuting, in part or whole, the voices of the past that spoke with authority before him, he resides over the so-called "modern academia" with unassuming integrity. This book is conservative and really informed my theology and clarified many issues I have with today's structures in the ecclesia. Varied and faulty interpretations of autonomy and authority that justify their existence in Christ's body today, will do their utmost to avoid this revealing book. If you think you are in St Paul's league, or even better, a super-apostle - be prepared for your deception to be 'unveiled'.

Presented in a most scholarly fashion, Dr. Schutz presents arguments that cause the reader to develop new insights into the life and motives of the Apostle Paul which enrich and give an even stronger basis for the deep, abiding faith and devotion of his life in the service of Jesus Christ, the one and only one he loved and served, to the fullest extent, regardless of the circumstances, throughout his earthly life.
