Product Description

In this book thirteen first-class scholars examine what the New Testament writings say about the subject of discipleship, highlight the features of both unity and diversity that appear throughout the New Testament, and suggest, in a very readable style, how Christian discipleship can be expressed today in ways that honor both the oneness of the gospel and a legitimate variety of lifestyles.

The author takes the New Testament for a serious drive through the text with conjecture, hypothesis, and conclusion in his eyes/heart.

I've found this study develop take me deeper than my expectation, but that is good, that is why we study, yes? The author offers suggestions of optional studies of "Q" and other potential gospel texts of the eras surrounding the New Testament church origin. References of associated writings that could curve ones tempered mind and offer conclusions to ponder and arrest.

While this text brings along most common assertions of device in his assessments, the author places challenges that will confound and also bring restitution to the faith. I recommend this book of study for those who desire to go deeper into your New Testament study.

I do not recommend this book for the casual reader or new Christian, there are many other books on the market to help you develop your faith and be discipled into your new personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
