More than I expected but just what I needed! This book intrigued me from the moment I heard of it. My education was at over 5 schools, both public & private. I kept missing out on any units about US History because of the timing of my moves. Maybe it was for the best because I didn't have much "wrong" information to correct! This book is FILLED with facts that are each linked to a detailed source; this destroys any attempts at accusing Mr. Schweikart of fabricating his information. I love the pace of his writing; he keeps things moving and is great about connecting the different events of the time period he's covering. The timeline features are great! The research for this book must have been challenging and exciting! This is a true history that tells about the founding of this country, the Christian values it's based on. It also tells of all the ways that it's been under attack as well as the Patriots fighting to keep it's moral fabric alive! The only draw back is that because of the extensive bibliographic data, the book is HUGE! After reading only 1/2 of it, my family was clamoring to borrow it! I decided to buy the electronic version (much lighter) and my original copy is now in the hands of at least the 4th family member, LOL! I haven't seen it in over a year, and I know it's being read! A Great Book! I will always cherish it's vast resources and will hopefully always own a copy of it! November 22, 2012

Good This is a good study guide for anyone over 21. I did not care for a lot of the profanity and other inappropriate materials in this book. I, therefore, recommend it for adults over 21. It is, however, not appropriate for those under 21 unless it is censored for the profanity and other inappropriate material. June 17, 2011
