Good basic government book
October 13, 2010
This is a very good book to give a general overview about the many facets of our government, without becoming overbearing or dull. Contains many review questions to check student understanding of information presented. Better by far than run-of-the-mill history texts! A bit short on detail in a few cases, but easily supplemented. Good "backbone" book.
We are homeschooling our 8th grader and found this to be an easy, concise way to teach US government. There is review every few pages with questions that breaks up the text and reinforces the material. I recommend this book.
