Today, Lauraine Snelling is a member of the more than Two Million Books In Print club, with over 60 books. But when she first began, she was a mother of three teenagers with a simple dream to write "horse books for kids."
Her Norwegian heritage spurred her to craft the Red River of the North family saga and a trilogy called Return to Red River, as well as the Daughters of Blessing series, and the Home to Blessing series. Due to reader demand she is currently working on another Blessing series.
Writing about real issues within a compelling story is a hallmark of Lauraine's style, shown in her contemporary romances and women's fiction which has probed the issues of forgiveness, loss, domestic violence and cancer. In addition to her writing, Lauraine speaks at several conferences and workshops throughout the year. Lauraine lives in California.

Dinah Taylor has an orderly life that is just how she likes it. A perfectly furnished luxury apartment, a satisfying career as a scientist and CEO of her own company, and an uncomplicated personal life. But all of that changes when she meets seven-year-old Jonah.
The boy shows up one day, a scruffy dog by his side, in front of her office building. Dinah knows nothing about kids and even less about animals, but after she buys him breakfast, he shows up the next day...and the next. She tries to learn more about him, to help him, but he's remarkably skilled at evading her questions. And then, late one night, he calls her in a panic-his dog has been badly injured. Dinah rushes them to a local animal clinic, where she meets Garret, a veterinarian with a thriving practice and a passion for drawing. Though Jonah takes to Garret right away, for some reason neither understands, Dinah and Garret just don't mesh. But for Jonah's sake, their lives continue to collide, and slowly the relationship between these three strangers begins to change.

She can't wait to finish her training and head to New York to begin a nursing career. Then Miriam meets Trygve Knutson and all her plans are suddenly in a jumble. She quickly realizes she doesn't want to live without him, yet she's a smart, independent woman--she's even a suffragette. A Sneak Peek!
Just a few short weeks into her year-long nurse training assignment at the Blessing Hospital, Miriam Antonio is called home to Chicago, where her mother is gravely ill. Her nursing supervisor grants her a brief reprieve but extracts a promise that Miriam will soon return to Blessing and fulfill her commitment.
While in Chicago, Miriam has tried to get Trygve Knutson and Blessing out of her mind, but his letters make that impossible. Trygve is busy building a house, hoping he can convince Miriam to return to North Dakota and marry him. Torn between Trygve's love and her family's needs, she doesn't know what to do.
