For a non-history enthusiast growing up, I was totally involved in this exciting novel from start to finish. I loved the deep spiritual message that was expertly woven in throughout, and I even learned a lot of history in the process. I just finished my third novel in this series and look forward to reading the remaining books.

i really enjoyed this series. just finished the fifth book and wish there were more in the series. historically based, it was a delight to become more educated in regards to this time period. good christian message along with very "human-like" characters.

I dont know if this is the same book that I read from the shelves of our elementary school in Rimbey, Alberta, CANADA when I was in Grade 6...some years prior to the removal of Christian library books in many schools. It was so intriguing that I raved on about it at home until both of my parents read it, too. They thoroughly enjoyed it it, as did I. Now, years later, I often think of it, although unable to recall the title, it certainly was an impressionable book for a 10 year old child. We were blessed to adopt three gorgeous, intelligent individual internationally colored baby daughters. After I prayed over my babies each night, they grew and we prayed together then I tried to listen silently in the dark as they poured out their secrets to me and finally, if there still was time, Id tell each one about this story amongst countless others in our individual, private nightly bedtime visits. I hope and pray that its the same book when I make my eBook purchase tonight (although now I hae me douts as ive just read the publication date). Ah well, perhaps its very similar! ~ Meg
