For nearly 2000 years, the Church and the Jewish people have had a history of pain, antisemitism, and hatred. Tragically, few Christians know about it. In this book by Jewish Believer Michael Brown, The "Tragic story of the 'Church' and the Jews" is layed out for all to see. Forward by Don Wilkerson,Times Square Church.
From the first "Christian" persecutions of the Jews in the fourth century to the horrors of the Holocaust, from Israel-bashing in today's press to anti-Semitism in today's pulpits, this shocking and painful book tells the tragic story that every Christian must hear.
Our Hands Are Stained with Blood
After reading the book I am not convinced that the message is necessary. The Jews who live today have the same opportunity to recognize their Messiah as did the Jews in Yeshua's day and there after-
The Apostles poured out their lives to convince them that their Messiah had come. The bible tells us that a man who is sincere in seeking God will surely find Him. This is the work of
the Holy Spirit alone.
God calls the sinner to repentance; it is that simple. Jews have been coming to their Messiah since His incarnation.
People groups all over the world have been mistreated by other peoples; being enslaved, murdered and taken captive.
Israel is also responsible for her mistreatment by her rejection of her Messiah; and God Himself has blinded her eyes.
However; God loves the Jewish people as He loves the Gentile. He has never left or forsaken them, but they have done so to Him. Rejection of the Cross is a smokescreen- nothing more than pride.
Michael Brown is getting a lot of attention for his ideas but I think he is off track. Jews continue to be offered something that has been the same since God gave man a way to salvation; the message of repentance from sin and acceptance of Yeshua as Messiah.
The blood is on the hands of the sinner, of which we ALL are a part; Jew and Gentile. We are guilty of nothing less than the death of Messiah, and I found the book unnecessarily focused on the history of a people group, not on the gospel which could save them.
I saw the writing as an attempt to illicit sympathy for God's chosen people, who deliberately rejected and continue to reject their Messiah, sometimes by blaming history; which has been barbaric to a variety of cultures.
May we receive the blessing of God by telling the truth to the Jew- that he is a sinner in need of repentance, and not a victim of sinful men.

Definitely a Must Read
This book has the power to tear down barriers and break believers' hearts. Dr. Brown has done an amazing amount of research and hard work to present us with the facts most Christians don't know about our history - the same facts driving the Jewish community further and further away from Jesus. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Michael Brown is not only an ON-FIRE preacher/teacher, a radically saved awesome example of the miracle-working power of the Lord Jehovah, but also a funny, freakishly intelligent, and FIERCELY productive soldier in the Jesus Revolution. I highly recommend any writing by this man. The Lord God has His hand on him.
